Ancient Egyptians really cared about kids. If they couldn't have a kid their self they would adopt one. Meaning apart of their daily life was taking care of kids.

The earliest ancient Egyptians buried their dead in small holes in the desert. The heat and dryness of the sand dehydrated the bodies quickly, creating lifelike and natural 'mummies'.
A pantheon of deities was worshipped. The best known of these are Isis, Osiris, Thoth, Ra, Anubis, Bastet, Horus, Nut, Ptah, Ma’at, and Amun. Most gods and goddesses were symbolically represented by animals.
Without the Nile River Egypt would be all desert.
