Basic Wage Standards

The Fair Labor Standards Act requires a minimum of $4.90 must be paid to new employees under the age of 20 during their first 90 days. Small employers with an annual sales volume of less than $500,000 and not engaged in interstate commerce must pay at least $5.25. Federally covered employers with annual dollar volume more than $500,000 minimum wage is $7.25.
