- By: Vincent Moats
In 2009 about 10.4 million people with in the ages 12 and 20 have drank more than a sip of alcohol. As people get older they drink more so at the age 15 half of the teens have had at least one drink or more. By age 18 more than 70% of teens have had at least one drink or more. On average people have about 5 drinks on a single occasion, which can be considered binge drinking.
You shouldn't drink because it can cause problems in school by putting more pressure on you. It can also cause conflict between you and your parents and teachers. If you get caught you can get in serious trouble with the law too. It can cause physical and mental health problems and you can become addicted to the alcohol to.
