Sneetches

My favorite children's book is Sneetches because I think it is funny. It also rhymes and I like stories that rhyme. In the story some sneetches have stars and some don't. The ones with stars think that they are the best and they don't talk to the ones without. The sneetches without the stars are very sad because they don't get invited to anything and none of the star belly sneetches even talk to them.

Then one day a guy named Sylvester McMonkey Mcbean comes to the beach where the sneetches live. He tells the sneetches that he can give the plain belly sneetches stars for only 3 dollars. Then all the sneetches get stars and the original star belly sneetches get mad because now they can't tell each other apart. Then Sylvester McMonkey Mcbean tells them that stars are out so all the original star belly sneetches get their stars removed. The sneetches then keep getting stars on and off until they spent all of their money and nobody can tell each other apart. Then they all start being nice to each other because they realize that they are all the same.

Implications

The star bellied sneetches treated the plain bellied sneetches bad because they didn't have stars. " All the star bellied sneetches would brag, 'We're the best kind of Sneech on the beaches.'" I think this story tells us that we should not treat people bad just because they don't have something. You should not judge someone if they don't have something that you do. I think that it also shows that we are all equal and should be            treated as such. People don't think they're the best if they don't have the latest thing.

When is a time that you felt left out because you didn't have something that your friends had?

Great Presentation!!! I can relate to all of your implications because a lot of time in life you get left out.

People judge others everyday because they don't have real Uggs or a North Face jacket; well these people could be just the same as you but with non-designer clothing. take a chance and get to know someone.

I really liked your implication on how you shouldn't treat someone different because they don't have the same things as you.In this time period people treat everybody differently. Good job!

I liked your implication on treating everyone equal. A few years ago, when my phone broke, I had fell left out but then everyone turned off theirs and we did some productive activities.

I agree with your implication that your not better than someone else because of what you have. I see this in life a lot in school because people think they are better than someone because they have something that the other person doesn't.

I really liked your presentation. You shouldn't not be someone friend because they don't have something that you do. You should want to be original and not like everyone else.

I liked your implications, that it doesn't matter what we have or what we wear, we are all the same. I can relate that to how things are in today's society. If you don't have a certain image, then you don't fit in. It's important not to worry about it, seeming as how the popular thing at the moment changes so quickly. I also really liked the video. Good job!

Very good presentation!! I agree with your implication and I can relate this to life today. This is how the market work's. If everyone has something then it must be cool and everyone must have it to be considered cool. I think your implications were on point.

I agree with your implications because today in society everyone just judges people for what they have or don't have. At the end of the day, we're all the same on the inside, there's no point in judging someone for what they look like or how much money they have.
