The Human Body Systems
The circulatory system is responsible for transporting materials throughout the entire body. It transports nutrients, water, and oxygen to your billions of body cells and carries away such as carbon dioxide that body cells produce. This is important because if we don't get the good things all throughout the body and the bad things out of the body then we wouldn't be able to function.
The respiratory system is used for the intake and exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide between an organism and the environment. It is important because if we didn't have the respiratory system then we wouldn't survive because we wouldn't have oxygen to breathe and carbon dioxide for the trees to make more oxygen.
The digestive system is responsible for converting food into energy and basic nutrients to feed the entire body. If we didn't have the digestive system then we wouldn't be able to survive because we wouldn't have it to break down the food to make nutrients which gives us a large portion of our energy and nutrients.
Integumentary system is responsible for protecting the body from various kinds of damage, such as loss of water or abrasion from outside. If we didn't have the integumentary system then we wouldn't be able to survive because we would be exposed to too much damage.
The excretory system is responsible for performing the function of excretion, the bodily process of discharging wastes. If we didn't have the excretory system, then we wouldn't survive because we would be so full of waste so we wouldn't have room for the stuff we actually need like nutrients for the blood cells.
The nervous system is responsible for transmitting signals between different parts of the body. If we didn't have the nervous system, we wouldn't survive because we wouldn't be able to function and we our other systems wouldn't work right.
The urinary system is responsible for consists of the two kidneys, ureters, the bladder, and the urethra. Each kidney consists of millions of functional units called nephrons. If we didn't have this, we wouldn't survive because we wouldn't be able to get rid of food waste thus we wouldn't have room for more waste and it would go to different places which makes everything else stop working.
The skeletal system is responsible for protects our brain from harmful damage. If we didn't have this, then our brain would not be protected making it easy to be damaged.
The muscular system is consists of skeletal, smooth and cardiac muscles. It permits movement of the body, maintains posture, and circulates blood throughout the body. If we didn't have the muscular system, we wouldn't be able to move, which means we couldn't eat or exercise making us starve and die.
The endocrine system is responsible glands that produce hormones that regulate metabolism, growth and development, tissue function, reproduction, sleep, and mood, among other things. If we didn't have this we wouldn't grow and we would not survive because it helps grow and develops the tissue.
The immune system is responsible for protecting against disease. If we didn't have this system, we wouldn't survive because we would get diseases so easily. That's why they say be careful around babies because they wouldn't have a big enough immune system.
These systems work together because they all play a certain role in keeping us healthy and alive. If one of these was taken away, we wouldn't survive, because we wouldn't be able to replace that task. So we need all of them so we can survive and be healthy. We need these because we need to be able to function and be healthy.
