This Weeks Success Story
This Week's Success Story is from a certain Middle School out in the Roswell Area. I recently did a project with a 8th Grade Science Teacher on Simple Machines. When I was there last week, we started the project, but we did not finish it. I caught up with this teacher yesterday, and she was amazed at the success and creativity of her students. Some of her students did a full on new show, others wrote a jingle, while others did commercials. Overall, it was successful enough for her to try it in her other classes. You can find an example of this project in an example below.
Tech Tip of the Week : Using Twitter in the Classroom
The Goal of the Tech Tip of the Week is to get you interested in a topic. Please contact me if you would like to implement.
Twitter is a very powerful tool in education. It is by far one of the best ways to communicate with other educators and it can be a very powerful tool to build a professional learning network. Twitter is also a great tool for the classroom as you can do a variety of really cool tasks with it. I recently did a presentation on this for program specialist, and I wrote a blog post for the App Drawp. You can access the presentation through the Button below. I have also linked the blog, and it will be posted some time in the next week or two.
My entire mission at your school is to take your technology use to transformative. We want students to be able to create, and to have an education that is tailored to their needs. Are you going to be able to do this right away? No, I am here to help hold your hand through those baby steps in order to let you do that. We can handle my help to you in one of three ways.
1. I can come in and do model lessons where we then progress to letting you do some of the same activities
2. I can take projects or assignments you are trying to do, and I can redesign them to up the choice factor and add the tech
3. I can kick you some ideas, and then I can follow up.
To schedule me, you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, find me on twitter @bigguyinabowtie, or you can fill out the form below.
