Inferences

An inference is an educated guess you make based on the evidence you have or what you know.

"I was never in love with vampires until Twilight came out. I didn’t know it was possible, but Stephenie Meyer changed the stereotypical blood-sucking vampire into a beautiful god-like creature."

From this sentence I can infer that the author loves vampires, based on how he/she writes that she was never in love with vampires until Twilight came out.

"Music is something that every person has his or her own specific opinion about. Different people have different taste, and various types of music have many ways of leaving an impact on someone. It can be relaxing, angering, soothing, energizing, and many more."

From this sentence I can infer that the author explains music can affect teens, based on how he/she writes that various types of music have many ways of leaving an impact on someone.

"Some dread it so much, they take their own lives. A tragic way to die. If only the teachers had seen it sooner. If only the parents knew. If only the victim spoke up."

From this sentence I can infer that the author is trying to explain that if victims spoke up they would get help from bullying based on how he/she writes that if parents or teachers knew they would help that kid from taking their own lives.

Based on this picture I can infer that the man wore flip flops to the beach and got sun burn based on the fact there is a V shape between his toe.

Based on this picture I can infer the man was delivering some stuff but his bike slipped, based on the fact there is heavy rain making the road slippery.

Based on this picture I can infer that this boy hates his food his mom made, based on the fact he is looking sad at the vegetables he poked with his fork.
