Carrying Capacity

Carrying capacity is the highest amount of an organism that a region can support, without  environmental degradation.

Humans are one of the main reasons manta ray capacity goes down, one big reason is they get caught in fishing net in search for food, they also get run over by boats.Humans also help increase their numbers, manta rays live in warm waters, and global warming is increasing their locations, But while traveling to new regions sharks and other prey have a better chance at eating them.

Manta ray need these 3 things to survive: food, oxygen, and shelter.

Limiting Factors

Limiting Factor is when the environments resources or prey is a very low amount. For instance, if there weren't much fish that the manta ray eat, it would be a limiting factor.

An example is if there is not enough krill for forage fish then the forage fish might die off and the manta ray may not get enough food, and so on.

Producers

Definition:An organism that produces its own food, and is at the bottom of the food chain.

Example:seaweed, phytoplankton, and zooplankton.

Herbivores

Definition:An animal that eats only plants

Example:marbled parrotfish
