1950s-1960s

The TV greatly impacted society politically, diplomatically, and socially. During the 1960s the election between John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon was taking off and the tv played a huge part in the election. Usually in elections people used the "front porch" campaign style meaning they would come and meet the canidates, but with television they people didnt have to leave their homes to meet the canidates. One of Nixons downfalls was the way he presented his self on television. Below is a picture of Nixon and JFK. Note some of the differences in their faces.
