Colleges in the 1930's

By : Jasmine Lark

College tuition in the 1930's was $250 a year. College room & board ranged from $3-4 hundred dollars. Major differences was the pricing and how things were set up. Also , education was different. The University of Manchester's mascot was the Spartan.

The cost of gas in the 1930's was 17 cent per gallon. A dozen of eggs was 18 cent , bread 8 cents (per loaf) , and roast 15 cent per pound. The cost to purchase a new car was $945 . The thing that interest me the most was the price of food , because it was so she cheap compared than the food now.
