  1. Who was he?

Homer was a famous poet who lived in Greece; he was blind yet very talented. Homer was not known by many people but now we got to know him by his famous poems that were the Iliad and the Odyssey.

  1. Why was he important?

He was and still is important in these days because of the poems the Iliad and the Odyssey that talk about the Trojan war, for example the big Trojan horse that is part of the Iliad.

  1. What was the odyssey about?

The Odyssey is about the hero Odysseus who defeated the Trojans at the Trojan War with the whole Spartan army during the night.

  1. What was the Iliad about?

The Iliad talks about the last weeks of the Trojan War; although it only covers the last parts of the war it is very important because it tells how Sparta defeated the Trojans.
