The Moons Import
The Moons Rule
Phases, eclipses, and tides are all related. They all are formed by the moon. If the moon wasn't here none of it would happen. The moon is very important to earth.
This is a picture of the phases of the moon. There are eight phases of the moon. The phases have a effect on earth. Some phases will allow the shores to have high or low tides.
The moon has eclipses. There are different types of eclipses, the uneclipsed, partial eclipse, angular eclipse, and a total eclipse. Eclipses stop light from the sun to the earth for a small amount of time.
The moon exerts a strong gravitational pull on the earth. It is this gravitational pull that causes the ocean to rise and fall in what we call tides. If the moon had disappeared then there would be none of its mass left to tug gravitationaly on the earth.
