Explore an issue presented in the documentary affecting contemporary society

From viewing the documentary Super size me I have realized how obesity is such a horrible disease and is rapidly becoming more popular. In the United States of America obesity is nothing out of the ordinary. The second most preventable disease behind smoking is obesity and it is a very easy fix. An issue presented to viewers in the documentary is obesity.

Obesity in America causes 400 000 deaths per year. Obesity is described to be when a person is grossly fat and overweight. More than  25 million American adults have diabetes. America needs to be careful about the food they eat and the nutrition that they put into their bodies. One in four Americans visit a fast food restaurant daily. McDonalds alone operates 30 000 restaurants in the United States. Morgan Spurlock the creator and star of Super Size Me presented the idea of obesity in his documentary showing us just how many people are obese and over weight and how so many people are un aware of  the things they are eating. In the old move Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory a character called Augustus was made to portray a very sickly fat child, in the later version of the movie made in the past 10 years the same character is portrayed as a much fatter child ( refer to picture below) . This example goes to show how much weight has become and issue and how much fatter we have got and what people think is fat and skinny. The number of obese people just continues to grow and grow and American people need to be aware of this and stop eating unhealthy food.

The second image. I can agree with that. But what if you were born fat simply because you have adapted your parents' hormones? What would you say those kind of people? 😳

Whoops. I was meant to say,"What if that person were born fat simply because of the genes that they have adapted from their parents?". What is your opinion to that?

my opinion on that Beryl is that unfortunately for them they have adopted these genes from their parents However my blog is about people who are fat from their high fat diets and what they are eating therefore the issue you presented to me isn't relevant to my blog
