an idealistic philosophical and social movement that developed in New England around 1836 in reaction to rationalism. Influenced by romanticism, Platonism, and Kantian philosophy, it taught that divinity pervades all nature and humanity, and its members held progressive views on feminism and communal living. Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau were central figures.2.
People don't appreciate nature as much as they should. Its viewed as a side attraction to the modern people where i believe it should be one of the main focuses. People commonly practice their religions in large masses within a building such as a church, but does it have to be in a church? I myself enjoy sitting out in nature and practicing my religion. It brings me peace and concentration. I feel if society was open to new experiences they would discover how spiritual it is to be out in nature and experience true beauty. So maybe next time you're outside kick back and relax. Look at the clouds. Admire beauty in its true form.
