Child CPR

What to do:

First you need to check the scene if the scene is not safe then you need to move the person if possible or wait until help arrives, Check the child by tapping there chest with your two fingers and saying are you ok?, Call 911, After you call 911 immediately start 30 chest compressions make sure they are 1/3 depth of chest using 2 hands, followed by 2 breaths, keep doing the 30 compressions and 2 breaths until help arrives, an AED arrives, the scene becomes unsafe, or if you are to tired to continue.

Adult CPR

First you need to check the scene if the scene is unsafe then you need to move the person into a safer scene or wait until help arrives, Check the person by tapping their chest and asking if they are ok, Call 911, After you call 911 immediately give 30 chest compressions, make sure it is 1 1/2 to 2  inches deep use 2 hands on the sternum above the zyphoid process 100/m, 2 breaths and continue the 30 Compressions and 2 Breaths until help arrives, if they respond, AED arrives, Scene becomes unsafe, to exhausted to continue.

Infant CPR

Check the scene, Check the baby by hitting the bottom of their feet and asking baby baby are you ok?, Call 911, after you call 911 give 30 chest compressions, with 2 fingers 1/2 to 1 inch deep, between nipples, then 2 puffs of air, continue the 30 Chest Compressions and 2 puffs of air until help arrives, baby responds, or to tired to continue.

Infant Conscious Choking

Check the Scene, Check the baby for breathing and if they respond, Then make sure to call 911, then hold the baby by supporting their head so hold your thumb and pointer finger under their chin on their cheeks, then squat down or sit down and hold the baby over your knee but make sure to still hold the babys head, then do 5 chest compressions with your 2 fingers, then turn the baby over on to its belly still holding it and making sure to support the head and give it 5 back slaps you can see the examples in the photos above, then check for the object and make sure to do a finger sweep if you see it and then continue the 5 chest compressions and check for the object, finger sweep if you see it and then the 5 back slaps.

Adult Conscious Choking

Check the Scene, Check the person by asking if they are choking, Call 911, after you call 911 Stand behind the victim with one foot in-between the victims feet and your other foot behind you place the flat side of your fist just above the patients belly button. Grab the back of your fist with your other hand, give upward thrusts until the object comes out or the person becomes unconscious.

Child Conscious Choking

Make sure you check the scene, check the person and ask if they are choking and if you can help them?, Call 911, stand behind the person with one foot in between the childs feet and your other foot behind you, place the flat side of your fist just above the patients belly button, then grab the back of your fist with your other hand, then do abdominal thrusts while making sure you are pulling inward and upward, until the object comes out or the patient becomes unconscious.

Adult Unconscious Choking

First Check the Scene, then make sure you check the person for breathing or if they respond, Then call 911!, then immediately start the 30 chest compressions, then look in the mouth and see if you see the object they were choking on, if you do see it do a quick finger sweep and try to get it out and then still give a breath check if the chest goes up then give a second breath, then keep doing the 30 compressions and check for a object, finger sweep if you see it and the breaths.

Child Unconscious Choking

First be sure to check the scene, Then make sure to check the person if they can respond and check if they are breathing, immediately call 911, then start the 30 chest compressions, then open the mouth and check for the object, if you see the object do a quick finger sweep and get it out of their mouth, then give a breath and check if it went in, if it didn't go in give another breath, then keep doing the 30 compressions, check for the object and give breaths.

Infant Unconscious Choking

Check the Scene, Check the baby to see if they are breathing and if they respond, then give 30 chest compressions, then check for the object and if you see the object do a finger sweep, then give a breath and check if the breath goes in, if it doesnt go in try another breath and see if that one goes in, then keep doing the 30 compressions, check for object and finger sweep if you see it then 2 breaths.

Bleeding!

If a person is bleeding really bad, ask them if they are ok and if you can help, call 911, then put gloves on, get a small gauze pad and hold it on there then ask the person if they can put pressure on it and get a bandage wrap and wrap it a little above the gauze and a little below the gauze and make sure you over lap until you run out of the bandage and then take some of the bandage and tie it. If it starts bleeding through that then put another gauze and another wrap, and wait until help arrives.
