Boko Haram's Massacre Has Left an Estimated 2,000 Dead
Hundreds of bodies lay dead in the Nigeria from an Islamic attack that is described as the “deadliest massacre” in the history of Boko Haram. Over 16 villages were attacked, leaving over 2,000 dead (estimated) and many more injured. The official death toll will be taken after the total households are counted. Mike Omeri, a government spokesperson, says actions are being taken to take back the land from the militants. Boko Haram has terrorized the northern Nigeria area since 2009. He has attacked schools, churches, police, civilians, and government buildings. He even kidnapped 200 hundred schoolgirls last April that are yet to be found.
