Animals Polar Bear Polar Bears live in the Tundra usually near water or ice flows. Their favorite food is seals (which is also their diet food). They have dens where they sleep and where females give birth to cubs. Male Polar Bears are the largest land mammals on earth. They weigh 700 to 1400 pounds and stand 8 to 10 feet tall. Females are smaller and weigh 350 to 700 pounds. Their coats look white, but their actual hair is clear and the skins black. That's the life of a polar bear in the Tundra!!!!
