CityMusic Cleveland March 2013 Concert Series
Conductor-less and featuring Daniel Gilbert, clarinet
The new, the familiar – be there to experience it!
You’ve seen CityMusic in your own neighborhood for years, but this time
the orchestra will be conductor-less!
Come experience the intimacy and excitement as each member of this 25-member
chamber orchestra helps lead the group through lighthearted and intricate
masterworks. CityMusic’s enormous wealth of musicianship will be clearly on
display as the musicians communicate across the ensemble to bring the music
vividly to life without a conductor.
Beginning with Mozart’s rarely performed 26th symphony
(composed when Mozart was only 17), this breviloquent concert features
CityMusic’s principal clarinet Daniel Gilbert in an orchestral version of
Weber’s dramatic and virtuosic Clarinet Quintet and concludes with Haydn’s
elegant Symphony No. 86. Come discover CityMusic in your own neighborhood! All concerts are FREE and no tickets
