Why Work, School, Life Balance?
Juggling one's work, school, and personal lives is easy if you only have one or even two of the three to worry about. But if you have all three, the hours of free time that you once enjoyed no longer exist. Thus, how do you allot your time?
Author Nigel Marsh in a TEDxSydney talk, discusses that balance doesn't mean "dramatic upheaval," rather that "with the smallest investment in the right places, you can radically transform the quality of your relationships and the quality of your life."
So, how will you manage your already incredibly busy life to earn your degree? What tips do others have that are juggling the same or similar responsibilities? In the two non-academic articles below, the authors talk about ways to handle stress and achieve some sort of life balance. As you review the articles and reflect upon Mr. Marsh's TedxSydney talk, note the ideas and tips that resonate with you. You will need them later!
