The Science and Engineering Fair of Houston was held this past weekend and 1,000 projects were entered into the competition. Clear Lake HS sent 28 students to the Houston Science Fair and 11 students won a variety of awards. Six Lake students qualified for State and only three high school students from Clear Creek ISD qualified for the International Science Fair. Two of the three students are Falcons in Ms. Pinchbeck's class!
- Kushal Kadakia placed first in Biochemistry and earned the Grand Award for Life Sciences. Project title: Elucidating the Molecular Mechanisms of Arrhythmogenesis
- Kavita Selva placed first in Physics/Astronomy and earned the Grand Award for Physical Sciences. Project title: Trapped Field Magnets with Thin Film Superconductor Tapes

Congratulations to the CCISD robotics team, The Robonauts! They won the Dallas Regional competition this weekend and have qualified for World Championships in April. The Robonauts were up against 48 teams, and emerged victorious.They will compete next in Sacramento and in Houston.
