UCA COMMUNICATION DEPARTMENT CELEBRATES VALENTINES DAY WITH ILS SERVICE LEARNING PROJECT
- On February 13, 2015 the University of Central Arkansas Communication department visited the Independent Living Service Center.
- Students got the chance to interact with consumers of the program.
- Students also gained photo and video opportunities and interviews

Lewis- This consumer is age 53, and has been in the program for 6 years and is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas. When he was asked what he thought about the program and responded by saying, " I like cafeteria time because I get to spend time with my friends and meet new people, but my favorite time is computer time".
Gene- This consumer is age 34 has been in the program for 8 years and originally from Pine Bluff. When he was asked what is his favorite part of the program he responded by saying, " I like music time and doing arts and crafts, especially art".
Kim- This consumer is age 44 and has been in the program for 9 years and originally from Fort Smith, Arkansas. When asked what she thought about the program she responded by saying, " It's nice and fun my favorite time is learning about house chores and spending time in the cafeteria".
