Human Body System :
Muscular System

Muscles are a  bunch of fibrous tissue in a human or animal body. The main function of the muscular system is movement. The muscular system also maintains the body's posture and position. The muscular system also circulates blood throughout the body. There are three different types of muscles: cardiac or heart muscles, smooth muscles, and skeletal muscles.

Muscular System Interactions

The muscular system works with the Nervous system to sense things.

The skeletal system working with the muscular system provides skeletal movement.

It also works with the digestive system to control entrances and exits of digestive tract.

Diseases Associated With The Muscular System

The most common muscular disease is Duchenne muscular dystrophy which is caused by a genetic defect normally affecting males.

5 FUN FACTS!

  • Muscles make up 40% of your body weight
  • The smallest muscles are in your middle ear
  • When you take one step, you use 200 muscles
  • It takes 17 muscles to smile and 43 to frown
  • And the most shocking of all........ YOUR TONGUE IS THE STRONGEST MUSCLE IN YOUR BODY

Human Body System :
Skeletal System

A skeleton is an internal or external framework of bone or cartilage. The skeletal     system enables up to move through out our daily lives, support, protection and blood cell production. The skeletal system is composed of connective tissue, cartilage, tendons and ligaments.

Skeletal System Interactions

Your skeletal system interacts with the Integumentary System (the skin) because the calcium keeps the bones strong and hard.

The skeletal system also interacts with the muscular system, as one goes, so does the other.

Diseases Associated With The Skeletal System

One skeletal disease you can get is arthritis. There are two types of arthritis -

Osteoarthritis - the wear and tear our bones and joints over time

Autoimmune arthritis - occurs when the body attacks itself and damages joints

5 FUN FACTS!

  • At birth the human skeleton has 300 bones, by the time they are adults, they have 206 bones
  • The longest bone in the human body is the thigh bone
  • The human body's bones are also constantly worn down and RE-MADE
  • The body part with the most bones is your hand
  • Your toe bones are the most fragile bones in your body

Human Body System :
Excretory System

The excretory system is made up of kidneys, ureters, the bladder and the urethra. The Excretory system is responsible for the elimination of wastes produced by                 homeostasis.

Excretory System Interactions

Excretory system interacts with both the circulatory and endocrine systems.

The excretory system interacts with the circulatory system because when blood passes through the two kidneys, most of the water is removed from the blood and the other water is put back in the system.

The endocrine system basically controls the excretory system.

Diseases Associated With The Excretory System

You can get kidney and bladder diseases from the excretory system.

Kidney disease is when your kidneys fail and harmful wastes build up in your body.

5 FUN FACTS!

    • The average adult bladder can hold 16-24 ounces or urine
    • An average person pees about 3000 times a year
    • The Excretory system does not have skin as a part of it
    • On average, the kidneys can filter 1.3 liters of blood per minute
    • Urine is consisted of 5% bile and 95% of water

Hope you all learned something new!
