How to find if an object is similart by using transformation
Another one is translation which is when you ar sliding a image not rotating it and without changing how it looks.
Next is rotation. Rotation is when you are rotating a object by 90,180,and by 270 degrees. A formula that you can use whaen you are rotating a image by 90 degrees is y,x) and if you are rotating over 180 degrees its (-x,-y) and when you are rotating over 270 degrees its (y,-x)
Another is dilation which is when you are making a object biger or smaller by multlplying by a whole number or by a fraction.

There are many different types of transformation. One of the four transformation is reflection which is when you are reflecting a object by the x or y axis. Another id dilation that's when you are making and object bigger or smaller by multiplying a whole number or a fraction. Another transformation is translation which is when you are changing where the object is without rotating it and not changing how it looks. Last but not least is rotation which is when you are rotating a object by a point 90', 180', and 270'. Now lets use this terms when you are trying to figure out if a object is similar.
If they are asking you how the picture above is similar by using tranformation you would say to be correct the trangles are similar because you are dilating the trangle by 2.
Or you can write rations and compare to see if they are the same.This is how you do it.
Step 1: First you write the distance of two points of figure 1 and the distance of two points of figure two.
Step 2: Then if all of the ratios end up to be the same then the object is similar like in this case the two trangles are congruent.
