What's an aim?

An aim is the goals a business wants to achieve.

Typical small business aims...

-Survival,

-Living,

-Customers,

-Money.

Typical large business aims?

-Customers,

-Being successful,

-Profit.

So, what are objectives?

They are practical steps to achieve the goals- they're usually quantified.

How much do aims and objectives matter?

They don't really mean anything much, they're basically just a guideline. The business don't really need to follow them, unless they want too.

What is a mission statement?

A mission statement is the aim of the company, to achieve your goals.

Measures of success (for a small business)

You're not failing,

You could count your customers,

Make sure your items are selling,

Count your money.

Measures of success (large business)

Count customers,

You're getting enough money,

See how much stuff you're selling.
