Pre-sleep drinking disrupts sleep

Frankie Eby

I chose this article because I find it interesting that drinking alcohol actually disrupts sleep because you usually think that drinking too much knocks you out and you sleep for hours more than you would usually sleep. However some psychologists have studied people who drank before bed and how they slept compared to people who fell asleep without having a drink before hand. They're results have showed that sleeping after drinking the alcohol increases the activity in the brain making it difficult to sleep. Usually  drinking makes you sleep because its a sedative but it actually does that opposite to your brain.
