How do I manipulate a function between one form to another?
There are four forms of functions that we will manipulate between, Map, Graph, Table, and Ordered Pairs.
Function: f(x)=x+3 or y=x+3
| x | -2 | -1 | 0 | 1 | 2 | You just take the X and Y values and put them in ovals and
| y | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | connect them with arrows to make a map.
Map: Now you take the X and Y values from the map and make them into ordered pairs.
Ordered Pairs: (-2,1) (-1,2) (0,3) (1,4) (2,5)
Next you take the ordered pairs and use them as points to plot them on a graph.
Graph: Now you can take the ordered pairs from the points on the graph to manipulate the function into any form you want.
