The Silver Spoon

. One thanksgiving afternoon, as the children played in the lilac forest a loud BAM resonated from inside a kitchen. The kids playing outside ran in the see what happened. They saw a baking sheet had fallen on little Timmy’s toes turning them politely purple. As Timmy screamed in pain his mom grabbed a magic silver spoon took a scoop of jelly and smeared it on Timmy’s toes soothing them till they turned the color of lavender vista. Then Timmy stopped crying as the pain from the burn receded. Then he settled down enough to help prepare for dinner.

As they got everyone seated in preparation for thanksgiving dinner Timmy screamed at the sight of the red mark on his foot. His mom came over to see what the matter was. Timmy’s foot was now red and covered in pus filled bumps so it looked like the back of a toad. His mom exclaimed “where is the magic spoon. The family scrambled all over the house like crazy cockroaches looking for food. They could not find the spoon and everyone wished to see the silvery gray of the one and only magic spoon. At their failed attempts to find the spoon the whole family cried in despair for they thought the once normal foot would forever be scared by the ugly burn.

After a long period of time one of the children thought up an idea, “We can take him to the doctors.” They all packed into the family car and drove to the doctors, the doctors said, “this wound is way too serious for us to heal take him to the hospital.” The family shivered in fear at the thought of the cold dark and dreary hospital for none of them have ever been to the hectic hospital. When they arrived there little Timmy had to walk in alone with the papers because none of the other members of his family had mustered up enough courage to go with him. Timmy walked handed the doctor the forms and the doctor laughed and said it wasn’t the spoon that began healing your burn it was the jelly. The family rushed home and smeared all the jelly they had on the burn and it faded by morning.
