Ah, the first amendment. Probably one of the more important ones in our Constitution. But what is the first amendment?
The first amendment is made up of the five basic freedoms. Freedom of speech, press, religion, assembly, and petition.
Freedom of Speech
The ability to say what you want, when you want, about whatever you want!
Freedom of Press
The freedom to write down and publish your opinions, no matter what they are.
Freedom of Religion
The freedom to believe what you want, and practice your beliefs as well!
Freedom of Assembly
The freedom to meet in groups of people without limitations!
Freedom of Petition
The freedom to peacefully challenge the government, and speak up when you think something is wrong!
