The setting in the Woods Runner is revolutionary war. Where the main character Samuel loses his family and has to find them. Samuel is 13 years old as is one with the forest he a great hunter and great understander of his surroundings.
Sam is red headed and Is very calm. If you take away his family he becomes a new person he becomes focused and angered and will kill some one. Samuel has a major problem his parents got kidnaped and he's got to go find them. On the way to find his parents he saw the real things that goes on in war. There was also people who helped him along the way.
The mood of the novel is sadness and anger. He is sad about his settlement and angry about his parents being prisoners. Samuel had a great spirit and never gave up. Even when he saw his neighbors and friends killed he persevered through it.
I did not like this book I loved it. It's like your are Samuel and on his roller coaster ride. It brings the emotion out and makes you feel for the characters and what there going through. "Thank you" this one of the most crucial lines that wraps the whole book up.
This book is a great book for people who like suspense and twist. This book puts you in the feeling of that your there and that's why you should barrow or buy this book.
