Definition- The conduct by government officials of negotiations and other relations between nations (Dictionary.com).

Commander in Chief

Definition- A head of state or officer in supreme command of a country's armed forces (Google).

War Powers Act

Definition- A federal law intended to check the president's power to commit the United States to an armed conflict without the consent of Congress (Wikipedia).

Ambassadors

Definitions- An accredited diplomat sent by a country as its official representative to a foreign country (Google).

Embassies

Definitions- The official residence or offices of an ambassador (Google).

CIA

Definition- The Central Intelligence Agency is one of the principal intelligence-gathering agencies of the United States federal government (Google).

NSC

Definition- National Security Council. A committee in the executive branch that advises the president on matters relating to domestic, military, and foreign security (Google).

Senate/House Foreign Relations Committees

Definition- It is charged with leading foreign policy legislation and debate in the Senate (Wikipedia).

NATO

Definition- The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is an intergovernmental military alliance based on the North Atlantic Treaty which was signed on 4 April 1949 (Google).

Warsaw Pact Countries

Definition- A military alliance of communist nations in eastern Europe (Google).
