Fashion in Victorian London

*People did not go to shop's like we do today and see rails of clothes.

*Poor Victorians bought clothes from second hand.

*Victorian men wore waist coats.

*The majority of Victorian men used a walking stick.

*In the mid 1800's bustles disappeared,replaced by the"power dressing"

*Girls tended to wear long dresses that covered most of there legs and arms and sometimes pantaloons underneath too.

*Every item or clothing bought had to be made especially  for the person.

*Seamstresses and tailors were responsible for making clothes.

*Victorian men often worn waist coats.
