"I restore myself when I'm alone."
Marilyn is a Trancendentalists person because she show people that she is her own person and does stuff on her own.
- grew up with nobody
- became a bigger person than she was
- she was a self-reliant, confident, and free though person
Marilyn was a very self reliant person. She had no one helping her through life. She was pretty much her own person and in her own world. She had one of the most recognized faces in the world. Marilyn's hair and beauty mark, her famous skirt-blowing scene from "The Seven-Year Itch", all of these things are a part of our culture. Marilyn Monroe is an legend. Who was this luminous woman, this glamorous star? Behind the glitter and the smiles, who was the woman who made it all possible? Marilyn did make it possible. She relied on her self, she had the confidence to chase her dreams and became who she was. Marilyn always had a free thought about things. As i call it, open minded, ever since she was a little girl she kept her thoughts to her self but her mind open.
Ralph Waldo Emerson quoted, "Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string." This relates to Marilyn in many ways. When Ralph said "every heart vibrates to that iron string," Marilyn pops into my head because I feel like she used to use that saying everyday. She might not say it but by what she did explained that in her own way.
Marilyn Monroe quoted, "I restore myself when I'm alone." This shows that she is self reliance because she relies on her self to make sure she gets back up and tries again. She is the only one to get her self back to where she needs to be.
How Marilyn Monroe helped our society now?
Marilyn Monroe influenced others and our society. The way she does it is by doing stuff on her own and showing others that it is okay to do that. People looked up to Marilyn and they saw who she really was instead of a fake or a cover up. She helped our society have more confidence for people to chase their dreams.
