Hospitality Customs in Ancient Greece

Hospitality was a big deal in Greek life. They get the reason because they believe that Zues keeps a close eye on them and monitors the treatment of strangers. It was a rule to have good hospitality. They were to provide food, a comfortable place to sit, charming company and acceptance into the day's activities. It was assumed The person was on some sort of mission. The host then is expected to be able to provide some sort of assistance to the traveler.
