(6) Geometry and measurement. The student applies mathematical process standards to analyze geometric attributes in order to develop generalizations about their properties. The student is expected to:

(A) identify points, lines, line segments, rays, angles, and perpendicular and parallel lines;

The Kinesthetic Hook: TLW create different lines using their bodies and take pictures with iPad to create pic collage labeling different lines and angles

The Safari Hook: TLW go on a scavenger hunt finding lines and angles outside of the classroom and document findings with iPads. Students will use prezi to illustrate and label angles and lines found.

The Dance and Drama Hook: TLW use colored tape on the floor to create different lines and angles. TLW appear in a video as a tight rope walker holding up signs labeling angles and lines.

The Craft Store Hook: TLW decorate poster boards with popsicle sticks, duct tape, pipe cleaners or paint to create lines and angles in art.

The Interior Design Hook: TLW use laser pointers to create lines and angles along to music.

The Costume Hook: The teacher will dress up as ‘Where’s Waldo’ and ask student to dress in lines and angles and investigate the soles of their shoes.
