Storyboarding and Filming

1. GUESS WHAT'S FIRST? Watch the documentary of the day and post two comments in Edmodo!

HAVE YOU FINISHED YOUR PITCH WORKSHEET? Yes? Keep reading! No? GET THAT FINISHED!!! (

HAVE YOU FINISHED YOUR FOUR KEY QUESTIONS AND OUTLINE? Yes

2.Now that you know generally what your movie will look like, it’s time to plan out each shot and GO FILM! We plan out each shot before we film it so that we don’t “fumble” or waste time when we get there. This is called storyboarding.

3. Watch the video below for more info:

4. Watch this slide show which shows you how to storyboard and optionally watch this video if you need a reminder of the different types of shots.

5. Time to get started on storyboarding the first scene that you'll be filming. You want to include types of shots and any dialogue. When you're ready, let Ms. Beth know and then we will go film!!!! (Remember to sign up on this schedule, one crew per session!)

6. If you finish early, talk to Ms. Beth about your editing options.
