a glimpse into the past...

Many years ago the Iroquois and Algonquian tribes lived in New York. In the year of 1664 troops from England took over the Dutch colony and gave it the name "New York". Years later in 1788 New York joined the United States and became the 11th state in America. Many things have happened in this state... The first baseball team , The Knickerbockers, was made in New York. In 1901 America's president William McKinley was assassinated in Buffalo, NY and later in 1980 The winter Olympics were hosted by Lake Placid. There are some amazing things that have taken place in the history of New York but there has also been tragedies and the greatest one known is the attack of terrorist on September 11th, 2001. Nearly 3,000 people were killed when the two airliners were flown into the World Trade Center on 9/11 causing trauma for many families.

Broadway

Broadway was born in 1811 in Manhattan. There is many great shows to go and watch such as Memphis, Chicago, The book of Mormon, The lion king and More. The average cost for a ticket to a Broadway show is over 200 dollars depending in where you want to sit. Broadway is a great way to get the family together for great music and a fun experience.
