DNA and RNA are polymers of nucleotides linked in a chain through phosphodiester bonds.
Nucleic acids store and transmit genetic, or hereditary, information. It contain information for making all the body's proteins. RNA carries information from nucleus to cytoplasm, carries amino acids, and forms ribosomes.
