A watershed is were a stream or river comes down from a high place to a low place in a bigger body of water. In a watershed is all connected.
A source is were the water starts in a river and a watershed.
In this picture it is an old water source or as we no it now a dam.
A mouth/delta is were a river empties into a a big body of water
A great basin is were a river empties out to a bigger body of river and there is no out mouth to a sea or ocean. In a great basin the water evaporates.
A divide is the place that separates or cuts off a watershed or rivers
A headwaters is a streams upper reaches
A down river is between a headwaters and flood plains
A stream or river that flows into a main stream
