Scholarship Persuasive Essay
Why does the world need more good people?
"The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people." -Martin Luther King Jr.
Today society faces the issue of more people being bad. There should be more good people in the world because then there will be less crimes and people will be happier.
With more good people there would be less crimes. Bad people think it is right to do violence, they don't care about others. They think that stealing and doing drugs is right. Violence and murder rates in America could lower to about 80% if there was more good people.
Furthermore, people will be happier; they will not feel the stress or overwhelming feelings of mean people. There would be less suicide cases and less bullying going on in schools or anywhere. With more good people there will be less people bringing others down. This is how people could be happier if there were more good people.
On the other hand, when people are good others tend to take advantage. Most people see that they are too nice to defend themselves so they take that opportunity to be mean. Being good is a good thing but sometimes it doesn't help you in life especially when dealing with others.
In my opinion there should be more good people than bad people in the world. The world would be a better and safer place for future generations. Also, we could work together to create a new world. Society should fight for what is right. We have to start speaking up, because if not now, when, if not you, then who?
Letter of Recommendation
To whom it may concern,
I would like to recommend Valessa Rodriguez as an employer to your business. During her time here at Sugar High, Valessa did an amazing job. She worked here from 2010-2015 with a smile on her face.
The first time she walked in my office, ready for the interview, I knew she was fit for the job. She proved me right over her five years of working. Valessa walked in everyday motivated and determined to succeed.
Valessa has acquired many skills independently. She cooks and bakes the most delicious brownies and it isn't just the brownies that taste good. With every costumer, we have two more come in. The thing is Valessa is able to not only satisfy the customer but to leave them wanting to come back.
I personally think that Valessa is the perfect person for the job. Even though I don't want to let her go, I know that she belongs in Sugar Rush, your company.
