The war of the worlds radio broadcast

the war of the worlds radio broadcast was broadcast on October 30, 1938 on the radio show known as "The Mercury Theatre on the Air." This broadcast was a reading from the H.G.Wells book The war of the worlds. This caused mass panic among most of america because they would tune in after they started and this is how they got the news so they thought this was real, and that the earth was being attacked by martians.

the frank newton orchestra was a jazz band in the early 30's this piece was written by Ernest Seitz and Jack Hylton, in the late 20's and was performed in the early 30's. Frank newton (William Frank Newton, January 4, 1906 – March 11, 1954) was a jazz trumpeter from emory virginia. He started a jazz orchestra that consisted of:Clarinet – Milton MezzrowDouble Bass – John KirbyDrums – Cozy ColeGuitar – Albert CaseyPiano – James P. JohnsonSaxophone [Alto] – Pete Brown Trumpet – Frank Newtontogether they only had about 5 albums, but  Frank played in many jazz bands in new york, and boston.
