Order from least to greatest: -4.5, -8, 1.0, 9

Fill in the number line: <-8, -4.5, 0, 1.0, 9

Part 3) 1. -4.5=4.5 2. 9=-9 3. -8=8 4. 1.0=-1.0

Explanation: Absolute Value- Is the distance of number is from zero on the number line regardless of the direction.

Part 4) Addition: 9+9=18, -9+9=0 Subtraction:16-8=8, -16-16=0 Multiplication:7*7=49, -11*10=-110 Division:72/9=8, 3/4 /- 8/7=-2

Part 5) 1. Ben was going swimming,when he got to the pool. He dived 12 ft, and came up to 4 ft. How many ft are there in total? -12+4=-8 ft.

2. Brandy was going out to jog. She jogged 15 miles. She was wore out and walked 7 miles to the bus station. Then she rode it 8 miles towards her house. How many miles did she jog? 15+(-7)+5=13 miles

3. Sally rode to her aunt house 51 miles and drove back 40 miles, How many miles did she drive to and from her aunt house? 51+40=91 miles
