Opponents: The Séléka, a rebel group/coalition who overthrew the previous government, and the anti-Balaka, a resistance group seeking revenge.
International intervention: The UN and France have stepped in, but only to stabilize, not fix problems.
How war is conducted: Targeting of civilians, use of small arms weapons (lack of heavy or advanced weaponry such as tanks, airplanes, missiles)
Cause of conflict: The conflict started because a history of political instability in the area and civilian dissatisfaction of their (autocratic) leaders.
Solving the problem: The UN and France have sent a few thousand troops as a peacekeeping force to stabilize the region. Although the force has somewhat helped, there is still conflict in the region.
