My Food Chain By: Boden Gall

"All food chains start with the sun". The sun gives the producer energy to grow. In my food chain the producer is grass which gives the herbivore (grasshopper) food to live. The herbivore has to be alive for the carnivore (frog) to eat it or the carnivore (frog) would die. If the carnivore (frog) died then the carnivore (snake)  wouldn't have anything to eat. That would be bad because the carnivore (frog) is the prey of the carnivore (snake) so the carnivore (snake) would die. That would be bad for the carnivore (owl) because the owl eats the snake. If one animal in the food chain dies then the whole thing dies.
