Ella's life was hard from the start. Her mother passed away of a heart attack. She was then left with her step-father. But, Ella did not want to live with her step-father, so she moved in with her aunt. Then, after living with her aunt for a while, she dropped out of school and ran away. Despite her lonely and dreadful childhood, she always had her beautiful voice with her.
