Her favorite song to sing is "Let It Go," she’s had a solo at her church once. The two people that inspire her to sing are Beyonce and Shakira. Her favorite band is Eco Smith, her favorite sport is basketball and after school she loves to go out and eat and also ride her 4-wheeler. Junior Historians

Junior Historians is an extracurricular program for MISD students 4th through 12th grades. It is one of the oldest programs sponsored by the Texas State Historical Association. It was founded in 1939 by Walter Prescott Webb, he wanted to get students involved in "doing history." Walter believed that learning about history, also enables students to develop multiple skills including writing, media visual design and public performance, among others. The annual state meeting is usually convened in late March or early April.

The MMS Junior Historians is ran by Mr. P and meetings are held Thursdays at 7:30. Check it out!

If you haven’t noticed Kahoot is taking over reviews at MMS. For those of you who don’t know what in the world I’m talking about, a Kahoot is a collection of questions on specific topic that your teacher pick. Its basically a more "awesomer" way to review for any test. So next time your teacher says lets review for a test, immediately ask to use Kahoot!

Sabria Dean

The 7th grade girls basketball team had their first game on November 10th against Edgewood. “It was a close game, not everyones shots were falling,” states Sabria. The A- team won 33-36, the team won with two free throws and one lay-up. “The main thing the A-team is working on is pressing and your position in defense.” “The next game will most likely be better than the first, we were all pretty rusty,” she adds.
