Day 1, my name is John Yank I am 21. I live in Boston with my wife and my son. I have a farm. Th farm has cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, and also corn. Life On the farm it is quiet and mellow. I am a Sergeant. I would serve the rebels so slave can help on the farm but the way they treat the slaves are horrible and I would not want to kill my friends so I pick to serve the Union. That is why I serve the Union.
Day 2, I arrived at the camp and i sure did see a lot of fresh fish. They probable not horse senses but I am pretty sure they are toeing the mark.
Day 3, so far all we have been doing was drills and drills but I am pretty sure it is for a good cause. I have been seeing some people that are bald with a sign saying thief on it. I find it kind of funny.

Day 5, Camp life is alright I guess. It is boring sometimes but it is also fun too. we play cards or we talk.
These our dead Union troop that die for there county at Vicksburg. .
when soldiers get shot they die or are injuries or get led poisoning so they cut off the limb where you shot. Also how some soldiers die is from sickness. Because when one soldiers get sick it is very contagious.

When I got home my friends and family greeted me. Sadly all of the crops are failing but at lest nobody die or got hurt and that was about it.
