Haven't You Ever Wondered About The Desert Biome?
There are many interesting facts about the Desert Biome. I will be talking about animals, plants, precipitation, temperature, some interesting facts that you probably didn't know about the desert, and my narrative.
This is a map of the Dry Desert Biome.
Not many animals can live in the Desert. The Desert, doesn't have much food, or water, so that makes some types of animals not be able to live there. If a certain animal, tried to live there, and they weren't meant to be, they would probably die of starvation and thirst.
Some Animals That Can Live In The Desert

The most common plant, as you may know, is the Cactus. A cactus can store water in its trunk. You can eat cactus if you want too, because it is not poisonous. There aren't as many plant's in the desert, than there is from where I am from, but at least there are plants.
Some Of The Plants In The Desert
Barrel Cactus Brittle Bush Chainfruit Cholla Creosote Bush
Crimson Hedgehog Cactus Desert Ironwood Joshua Tree
The precipitation in the Desert is about 1 inch of rain per year! That isn't a lot at all! The desert is a very dry and sandy place. Just imagine walking threw the desert, stepping through hot sand, trying to make your way threw the desert, just to get water. If we got more rain than that, more animals might be able to live there.
The temperature in the Desert is never cold. The high for the Desert is 40 degrees Celsius, which is 104 degrees Fahrenheit. The low for the Desert is 20-25 degrees Celsius, which is 68-77 degrees Fahrenheit. That would be a very good place to tan!!
Interesting Facts about the Desert
Did you know that the precipitation in Hot and Dry deserts, is different than the precipitation in Cold Deserts.
Cacti in the Desert are edible.
Through the summer and the fall in the desert, it is always really hot.
How do you survive in the desert- I would get an animal, and tame it, and teach it how to find me some food. I use the skins of the dead animal to make a blanket and carpet. I would use its bones to make a house, a bed, and like a toilet, sink, utensils, and other stuff like that. I would also use an animals skins for a roof, maybe even some rocks. I would get my food from an edible cactus and I would get water from it .
