Media Matters #4
Loving the View...
I love my new glasses, don't you? ;-)
Here are your tidbits for this week...
*Ye Olde Book Fair is coming, Sept. 26-Oct. 3! And, it is going to be bigger than ever, which means that I need your help. For this event, I have three events planned outside of regular hours--Thursday, Sept. 25 is Teacher/Staff Preview 3:30-4:30 (for YOU, dears); Tuesday, Sept. 30 is Breakfast With Books from 7:10-7:50 a.m.; and Tuesday night (Sept. 30) is the Family Night of Knights from 4:30 - 6:30. I could use greeters, lords and ladies with whom to take pictures, costumes, decorations, bakers, people to push out invites on social media, and the list goes on... Even if you can't be there in person, I have a job for you! Thank you in advance.
*I've been at a tech conference on the edge of my seat. I wrote grade levels and teacher names next to some of the things I learned...so, get ready. There will be PL coming up that is guaranteed to help you with TKES standards and give you grading shortcuts. If it won't make your life easier, I won't share it. Period.
*I'm rebooting the Media Committee again. If you would like the honor of being included, email me. It will entail mostly online interactions with a few face-to-face meetings for 2014-2015.
*October is when we start our lessons on library usage and information literacy. Get ready for an action-packed 10 minute period before you check out books!
*Don't forget to save the codes from Coca-Cola products for the media center. Every little bit helps.
*I'm here to help. Let me know what I can do for you and your students.
