Determining an Equivalent Proportion
Dana Oxford

Step One:
Have two ratios in fraction form.

Step Two:
Multiply the denominator of each ratio by the numerator of the other ratio.

Step Three:
Determine if the ratios can form a proportion.
If two ratios have equal cross products, they form a proportion. If they are not equal, they do not form a proportion.
