What to do? What to do?
Well, as you can tell school is over and this ends the final chapter of my sophomore school year. This year has gone by soo fast and much has happened. I turned sixteen, I will be driving on the roads soon (look out!). Now I'm faced with what to do this summer after having a very busy school year. I can fine tune my stroke in the pool and get better for the next swim season, read more books, watch movies and just hang out with my friends and family. So many choices. Wait! I can still do all of that and be spiritually challenged by presenting the gospel to other children in the El Paso and Las Cruces area with the GMTC (Gospel Ministries to Children). If God is willing I will attend a one week intensive training learning methods how to present the gospel, how we can have eternity with the Father through Jesus Christ (John 14:6), counseling young children, teaching Bible lessons, memory verses, and missionary stories. After the training is completed I will then teach four to five Summer Clubs per day for three weeks. There is a verse in the Bible that says, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" ~Matthew 19:14. With 1.7 billion children under 15 years of age in the world's population we have a lot of work to do in El Paso, TX! With this in mind. I would like to share this ministry opportunity with you in two ways. (1) Prayer. Please support me in prayer as I endeavor the very hot temperatures of summer and face who knows what when I teach Bible clubs. I can only do this with your prayers (Eph. 6:18-20). (2) Financial support. Yes, this does cost money and I don't have a job or I would pay for it all myself. The funds that are generated through your donations will go to training school, teaching materials, and transportation which cost $500. I will only receive a $125 honorarium, as the Lord provides. So, as you can see this is not a "job" for me it is a chance for you and I to participate in a ministry. I would be so thankful for your help in the area of prayer and/or financial support. Thank you in advance for investing in my life and the lives of boys and girls in the Southwest.
